Old Town Whiskey Cash, “Cash” is owned by friends, Girard and Nicole Reinking, of Hanover, MN. Cash was born April 12, 2016 out of FC AFC Whisky River Itchy Trigger Finger and Old Town Laurel’s Liberty Red.
Cash’s pedigree is filled with respected field trial competitors and field champions, including three National Field Champions in a row. On his mother’s side, his great grandfather is NFC FC Lighthouse Reverence, who was out of NFC AFC KB’s Sir Coach, who was out of NFC NAFC Sunrise Zinger. On his father’s side are also many outstanding dogs and Field Champions from kennels including Whisky River, Expressway, Doorcreek, and Sunrise Kennels. Please see his pedigree below:
Cash has the personality and instincts of a champion. Good breeding can produce smart dogs who have the hunting instinct, talent and abilities of their long, esteemed lineage. While every dog cannot be campaigned in Field Trials to prove their talent and abilities, they still possess these and pass them along to their offspring.
In the field, Cash demonstrates the good breeding he inherited. He has the natural quartering instinct that requires little training. He has the drive and determination to keep going. With a sensitive nose, he uses the wind to find his birds. A bold flush puts the bird into the air. Cash has a soft mouth, and returns automatically with his prize.
Cash has a very intense desire to retrieve. In the yard, he is a retrieving maniac; constantly returning with the dummy or ball, so he can fetch again. When there is no one to throw it, he plays with a ball by himself and keeps himself entertained for hours.
Cash is a very handsome dog, mostly liver and white. He is a medium size, about 46-48 pounds, with a lean, leggy build, slightly blocky head and muzzle, with a white blaze down his face.
Cash is fortunate to get to the lake on weekends with his family. He loves the water so much, that his owners have a hard time keeping him out of the lake. Of course he loves to retrieve from the water, making bold leaps from the dock to retrieve his dummy.
Cash is an all around great family dog. He is very calm in the house. He is extremely gentle and has amazing tolerance with the young children in the family. And when there is time for a weekend hunt, he is a valuable partner in making it a successful hunt. Careful breeding produces the quality dog that is a natural in the field and a pleasant companion.
