We don’t keep our own breeding males here at WillowBrook Kennels. Instead we seek out sires that have the talent, the genetics, and a proven record that will be passed on to future generations of English Springer Spaniels.
We look for dogs with exceptional hunting instinct and talent. We want those with good dispositions to stay calm in the house and be good family pets, but they have to be dynamite in the field. They need to have soft mouths, good scenting ability, and most of all a birdie desire. They should be excellent retrievers and love the water. We want the dogs to be pleasing to look at, and of course the goal is always to improve the breed.
